Timber window frames
For listed buildings, nineteen thirties facades and anyone who simply prefers timber.
In many conservation areas timber is the only material permitted. People also choose it without that requirement, because a timber frame does not look like an extruded profile.
Timber needs maintenance. How often depends on the species, the finish and whether the frame faces south or north. We tell you in advance what to expect, in years.
What we supply in timber
New build and replacement
A completely new frame, or only the opening sash if the rest is still sound.
Renovation frames
Fitted into the existing opening, so the brickwork stays intact and the internal finish does not have to come off.
Painted or stained
Opaque painted in a colour, or finished translucent so the grain stays visible.
Detailing to match
A profile that follows what is already in the facade, so old and new do not clash.
