Sliding doors
No door swinging open, so no floor space you cannot use.
A hinged door costs roughly a square metre of floor that you cannot use for anything else. In a small room that is noticeable.
A sliding door solves that, but it needs wall space or a cassette inside the wall. Which of the two is possible depends on what is inside that wall.
The two approaches
Surface mounted along the wall
The door slides visibly along the wall on a track. Simpler to build and easier to change later.
Hidden inside the wall
The door disappears into a cassette in the wall. Cleaner to look at, but the wall has to be opened up.
Glass or timber
Both types can take a glazed or a timber door leaf.
Soft close
A damper that takes over for the last few centimetres, so the door does not slam.
