Which type suits your situation?
For replacement most customers choose the same type as the existing frame. With new build or an extension there is more freedom. We think it through with you during the survey.
Tilt and turn window
The most chosen window. Turns open for ventilation and tilts for a gap without a draught.
Fixed window
Maximum glass area and the best insulation value, because there is no opening part in it.
Sliding patio door
A wide opening onto garden or terrace, with panels that slide past each other.
French doors
Two outward opening doors with no centre mullion. Classic look, modern insulation.
What is inside the profile
A frame is built up in layers. This is what you cannot see once it is fitted.
Multi chamber profile
Air chambers inside the profile slow the transfer of heat from inside to outside.
Steel reinforcement
A steel section in the core keeps large frames straight and carries the weight of the glass.
Warm edge spacer
The edge between the panes is plastic rather than aluminium, which reduces condensation at the edges.
Double seal
Two gaskets all round keep rain and wind out, including in a south westerly gale.
For replacement in the same size and layout you usually need no permission. If the appearance changes, or your property is in a conservation area, you do. We tell you during the survey what applies to you.
An average house is done in one to two working days. We fit facade by facade, so your house is never open all day. Manufacturing time comes before that and is usually a few weeks.
We take them away and separate the materials. That is included in the quotation as standard, you do not have to arrange anything.
We seal inside and out and adjust every opening part. Internal plastering and painting is excluded as standard, but it can be included in the quotation. Mention it with your enquiry.
