Garden doors
Outward opening doors, french doors and back doors onto the garden or terrace.
A garden door opens and closes more often than any other door in the house. The hinge and the lock therefore matter more here than the appearance, even though the appearance is what you notice.
Single or double, with or without a fixed side light. We fit the layout to the opening, rather than the opening to a standard size.
The variants
Double outward opening doors
Two opening leaves, both open for a wide route out onto the terrace.
Single back door
A door with a window beside it, where there is no room for a double door.
French doors
Doors with glazing bars in the glass. Suits a facade where flush glass would look too modern.
Threshold and sill
A low or flush threshold means less tripping, but it needs proper water protection underneath.
